Due to concerns arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended public worship and encourage you to practice physical distancing. However, God’s love will never be distant from us, and therefore we continue to find ways to worship God and pray for the healing of the world.
While we await the return to in-person Sunday gatherings, we invite you to set aside some time on Sunday evenings at 5 pm and join us on Zoom for prayer, worship and conversation. If you would like to take part, please let us know. Rooted in simplicity and practiced in community, even if separated by space and circumstance, we celebrate Christ’s gentle and loving rule.
Along with Sunday worship, we offer our Midweek Reflections blog. While it is on a brief hiatus for Advent and Epiphany, previous entries are available here. Many of them engage with the readings for the following Sunday, and reflect on our life of faith in this time of pandemic.
The Diocese of Toronto has compiled a list of notices, news and resources regarding the Church’s response during this time, which is being updated regularly. The York Region website has provided a guide if you believe you may have symptoms and an updated list of closed facilities and service disruptions.
If you wish to connect with the ministry team at St. Stephen’s, please see our contact page. We will respond to your request as soon as we are able.
