The Reverend Daniel Graves
is our Interim Priest-in-Charge at St. Stephen’s, Maple.
The Rev’d Daniel F. Graves is a priest, writer, and historian in the diocese of Toronto. Fr. Dan has previously served in the parishes of Holy Trinity, Thornhill (Assistant Curate), Trinity, Bradford (Incumbent), St. Paul’s, Newmarket (Incumbent), and is currently the Interim Priest-in-charge at St. Stephen’s Maple as well as Associate Priest (Christian Education and Faith Formation) at Trinity, Aurora.
He holds BA (1994), hons (1999) in religious studies from York University, an MDiv (2007) from Trinity College, Toronto, and ThM (2017) from Trinity College, Toronto. He also did graduate work at McMaster University (Hamilton) in New Testament and Early Judaism. He is compiler of Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition (Toronto: Anglican Book Centre, 2010), the co-editor of Richard Hooker: His Life, Work, and Legacy – Essays in Honour of W. David Neelands (Toronto: St. Osmund Press, 2014), and author of numerous academic articles on the sixteenth-century Anglican divine, Richard Hooker. He is co-editor of the Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society.
Fr. Dan has lectured widely on the healing ministry, church history, and offers regular parish courses on the Bible, church history, and theology.
He is married to Athena, and has two adult children, Leighton & Anastasia.
When he is not in church, you may find him on the dance floor pursuing his avocation of ballroom dancing.
